President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the 13th edition of the Africa CEO Forum scheduled to commence on Thursday, where he is expected to spotlight Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms and deepen strategic partnerships across the continent.
The President was received at the Presidential Wing of the Kigali International Airport by Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, alongside Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda.
Also on hand to welcome the President were the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole; Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed; Nigeria’s Chargé d’Affaires in Rwanda, Ambassador Ibrahim Zanna; and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sunday Dare.
Founded in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Africa CEO Forum has evolved into the continent’s foremost annual gathering of business executives, investors, and policymakers committed to advancing Africa’s economic transformation through regional integration and cross-border investment.
This year’s forum is themed: “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”
President Tinubu is expected to speak on the topic: “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” where he will highlight the impact and sustainability of Nigeria’s bold economic reform initiatives amid prevailing global economic challenges.
Beyond the forum, the President is also expected to hold a series of high-level bilateral engagements with African and global business leaders aimed at strengthening investment ties and reaffirming Nigeria’s strategic leadership role in shaping Africa’s economic future.
The summit provides another platform for Nigeria to reinforce its commitment to African unity, regional economic cooperation, and private sector-driven sustainable development across the continent.
