The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reinforced its commitment to discipline, professionalism and operational excellence with the graduation of 114 airmen and airwomen from the Air Provost Special Investigation and other specialised courses conducted at the Air Provost Training Centre (APTC).
The combined graduation ceremony, held on July 17, 2026, at the APTC Multipurpose Hall, marked another milestone in the Service’s ongoing drive to strengthen internal security, legal administration and mission effectiveness through deliberate human capital development.
Representing the Chief of the Air Staff, the Guest of Honour and Air Officer Commanding Ground Training Command, Air Vice Marshal AG Kehinde, described the Air Provost Training Centre as a beacon of excellence that has consistently produced highly skilled Air Provost and Legal personnel since its establishment six years ago.
According to him, the specialised courses are aligned with one of the key enablers of the Chief of the Air Staff’s Command Philosophy, “Deliberate Training and Mission-Oriented Force Development,” which emphasises capacity building and professional competence in addressing emerging security challenges.
Air Vice Marshal Kehinde noted that the nation’s evolving security landscape requires personnel who exhibit the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, discipline and adaptability. He charged the graduating personnel to remain steadfast in upholding the core values of the Nigerian Air Force, demonstrate accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities and ensure prudent management of Service resources.
He also commended the Air Provost Marshal, the Director of Legal Services, the Commandant, instructors and staff of the Air Provost Training Centre for their unwavering dedication to developing a highly skilled and disciplined workforce.
Reaffirming the commitment of Headquarters Nigerian Air Force to the Centre’s growth, the Air Officer Commanding assured continued support for training programmes and capacity-enhancement initiatives aimed at producing competent personnel capable of meeting the Service’s operational and security objectives.
The graduation ceremony underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s sustained investment in human capital development and its determination to build a disciplined, professional and mission-ready force that can effectively support national security and contribute to the defence of Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
