The Business Women of Influence for Renewed Hope Agenda (BWI-RHA) has declared its readiness to mobilise women and grassroots supporters across the country to ensure the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, insisting that Nigerians must be allowed to fully reap the benefits of the administration’s ongoing reforms.

The group made this known in Abuja during its official pre-launch and press conference where members unveiled plans for nationwide mobilisation, economic advocacy, enterprise growth and women-focused empowerment initiatives aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration for a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, the National Convener and Director-General of BWI-RHA, Mrs Ngozi Oyewole, represented by the group’s Head of Public Relations, Hajia Mariah Yakubu Danjuma Abdullahi, described the organisation as “a national awakening” designed to unite and empower Nigerian women towards active participation in nation building, enterprise development and leadership excellence.

According to Oyewole, the platform was established not merely as a political support group, but as a movement aimed at harnessing the strength, influence and economic potential of women across all sectors of society.

She said the organisation would serve as a strategic platform bringing together market women, entrepreneurs, professionals, industrialists, farmers, creatives, women in governance, technology experts, grassroots women, youths and members of the diaspora to contribute meaningfully to national development.

“We stand before Nigerians today deeply honoured and inspired as we officially pre-launch the Business Women of Influence for Renewed Hope Agenda, a platform created to mobilise women towards national development and the success of the Renewed Hope vision of President Bola Tinubu,” she said.

Oyewole commended President Tinubu for what she described as courage, resilience and determination in confronting the economic and structural challenges facing the nation.

She noted that genuine leadership was often tested during difficult periods requiring bold reforms and sacrifice, adding that the administration’s policies should be given adequate time to yield sustainable results.

“Leadership is not tested in times of comfort, but in moments that demand sacrifice, bold decisions and national reconstruction. We appreciate President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to building a stronger Nigeria despite prevailing challenges,” she stated.

The BWI-RHA convener stressed that Nigerian women were no longer willing to remain on the sidelines of national development, insisting that women must now be recognised as strategic partners in governance, economic growth and social transformation.

“Today, Nigerian women are rising not merely as supporters, but as strategic partners in nation building. No nation can rise above the strength of its women, and no economy can truly prosper while women remain underrepresented, underfunded, unheard or excluded from opportunities,” she added.

Oyewole further outlined the core objectives of the organisation to include women empowerment, strengthening small and medium-scale businesses, promoting economic inclusion, supporting vulnerable communities, mentoring young female leaders and creating sustainable opportunities for women nationwide.

According to her, empowering women translates directly into stronger homes, more stable communities and national prosperity.

“When you empower a woman, you empower a family; when you empower families, you strengthen communities, and when communities are strengthened, nations rise,” she declared.

She also called on government institutions, ministries, departments and agencies, development partners and the private sector to intentionally invest in Nigerian women through funding, policies and inclusion initiatives capable of unlocking their economic potential.

“The future of our nation depends greatly on the economic participation, innovation and leadership of women,” she said.

The group also commended the Minister of Women Affairs and female public office holders across various government institutions for advancing policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare and participation of women in governance and economic activities.

Oyewole maintained that Nigerian women were prepared to champion peace, productivity, enterprise and national transformation in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Also speaking at the event, the Director of Media and Communications of BWI-RHA, Ms Evelyn Onyilo, said the organisation had already begun building structures and mobilisation networks across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to Onyilo, members of the group understand the nature and long-term impact of economic reforms, which informed their decision to support the continuity of the Tinubu administration beyond 2027.

She argued that many of the reforms initiated by the Federal Government were foundational policies that require time and continuity to produce visible benefits for ordinary Nigerians.

“We understand the rudiments of reforms, and that is why we want to use this platform to canvass massive votes for President Tinubu to continue in 2027 so that Nigerians can fully benefit from his reforms,” Onyilo said.

She disclosed that the group was already putting in place “foot soldiers and mobilisers” across markets, business communities, rural areas and youth networks to drive grassroots engagement and voter mobilisation nationwide.

“We have structures involving market women, business women, rural women, youths and several other groups who are ready to deliver on our mandate,” she added.

Political observers say the emergence of women-led political support organisations ahead of the 2027 elections reflects growing recognition of women’s influence in electoral mobilisation, grassroots engagement and policy advocacy across Nigeria.

The BWI-RHA launch also underscores increasing efforts by political stakeholders to consolidate support among women and small business owners, particularly amid ongoing economic reforms and national conversations around inclusion, empowerment and governance. increasing efforts by political stakeholders to consolidate support among women and small business owners, particularly amid ongoing economic reforms and national conversations around inclusion, empowerment and governance.
