The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced that applicants undergoing recruitment into four agencies under the Ministry of Interior will enjoy free mandatory Drug Integrity Tests (DIT), following the ministry’s advance payment for the exercise.

The arrangement means candidates seeking employment into the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS) and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) will not be required to pay any fee for the screening.

NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday, October 30, 2026, confirming that all necessary arrangements had been concluded for the exercise.

According to him, the Ministry of Interior has already made bulk payment to cover the drug testing of the new intakes, removing any financial obligation from the candidates.

Consequently, the agency warned applicants and personnel participating in the recruitment exercise against making payments to NDLEA officials, designated testing centres or through any other payment channel.

It stressed that no additional payment would be required from candidates, urging the participating agencies and their personnel to ensure strict compliance with the directive.

To guarantee a seamless and orderly process, NDLEA explained that candidates would be required to access its Drug Integrity Test portal through designated links or access points to be provided on the respective recruitment portals of the four agencies.

The platform will enable applicants to complete the necessary registration and documentation before proceeding with the testing exercise.

The agency also cautioned candidates against individuals or groups demanding money under the guise of facilitating the mandatory screening, advising them to follow only the officially approved procedures.

NDLEA expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Interior for its cooperation and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a transparent, credible and efficient implementation of the exercise.

The Drug Integrity Test forms part of efforts to promote drug-free personnel and strengthen professionalism, discipline and integrity within Nigeria’s security and public service institutions.
