Group pledges stronger mobilisation for economic development, political participation and the Renewed Hope Agenda

The Business Women of Influence for Renewed Hope Agenda (BWI-RHA), Plateau State, has adopted Associate Professor Martina Nentawe Yilwatda, wife of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as its Matron.

The adoption was announced during a courtesy visit by the Plateau State Executive Committee of BWI-RHA, led by the State Coordinator, Amb. Dr. Rhoda Godwill Jahota, to Prof. Yilwatda’s residence in Rayfield, Jos.

According to Jahota, the decision reflects the organisation’s recognition of Prof. Yilwatda’s commitment to women’s empowerment, poverty alleviation and initiatives aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

She described the adoption as an opportunity to strengthen collaboration around programmes capable of improving the economic and social well-being of women across Plateau State.

Jahota noted that BWI-RHA remains committed to building a stronger network of women capable of contributing meaningfully to economic development, community advancement and public life.

Responding, Associate Professor Martina Nentawe Yilwatda expressed delight at the activities, vision and objectives of BWI-RHA, describing the organisation’s focus on women as significant to sustainable development.

She pledged her support for the group, particularly in mobilising women for economic development and greater participation in political and civic engagement in Plateau State and beyond.

Her acceptance of the role is expected to provide another platform for collaboration between BWI-RHA and women-focused stakeholders in Plateau State, while strengthening advocacy and opportunities for women across communities.

The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to promoting women’s economic empowerment, encouraging productive participation in governance and supporting initiatives that advance the welfare and development of women.
