NNPC Gas & Power Investment Services (NGPIS) has recorded a significant milestone in its journey towards operational excellence with the successful attainment of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification from the British Standards Institution (BSI).

The prestigious certification underscores NGPIS’ unwavering commitment to quality service delivery, efficient operations, customer satisfaction and sustainable business performance across Nigeria’s gas, power and new energy value chain.

The certification was formally presented at the NNPC Towers in Abuja to the Executive Vice President, Gas, Power and New Energy, Mr. Olalekan Ogunleye, by the Head of Planning and Commercial at NGPIS, Mr. Ayuba Rabo, who led the company’s delegation to the presentation ceremony.

Achieving the globally recognised ISO 9001:2015 standard followed a rigorous and comprehensive implementation process that commenced in December 2024. The process involved extensive internal and external audits, process reviews and standardisation, risk-based quality planning, and the establishment of a robust quality management framework aligned with international best practices.

The successful certification was driven by the dedication and expertise of the NGPIS Quality Management System team under the leadership of Mr. Okeoghene Esugo, whose strategic coordination and commitment played a pivotal role in delivering the achievement.

Speaking on the significance of the certification, NGPIS noted that the accomplishment validates the organisation’s adherence to internationally accepted quality management principles and demonstrates its capacity to consistently provide products and services that meet stakeholder expectations and regulatory requirements.

Beyond recognition, the certification is expected to strengthen operational efficiency, enhance customer confidence, improve service delivery and reinforce NGPIS’ competitive position within the energy sector. It also reflects the organisation’s culture of continuous improvement, innovation and accountability.

As Nigeria advances its energy transition agenda, the ISO 9001:2015 certification positions NGPIS among a select group of globally recognised organisations operating in line with world-class quality standards, further solidifying its role as a key enabler of growth, reliability and sustainability in the nation’s gas, power and new energy landscape.
